Abstract

This BEPE project consists of a research visit by the candidate to Professor Mario Garcia-Fernandez at Universidad Autónoma de Madri with the main goal to discuss certain aspects of his papers and his work in generalized geometry in general. In the aforementioned papers, the author introduces the primordial concepts of generalized geometry and proposes the analogue definitions of Ricci curvature on Courant algebroids. The motivation to understand these concepts is to investigate the conjecture that the solution of heterotic G2-system constructed in an advisor's paper constitutes a Courant algebroid and has generalized Ricci curvature zero.Professor Mario Garcia-Fernandez is an academic longtime contact of the advisor. Furthermore, during the period of the research visit the candidate will have the possibility to attend seminars and interact with other members of the geometry research group at Universidad Autónoma de Madri thereby enriching his knowledge. So, this visit will be of greatly advantageous to the master's project.
