Abstract Our objective is to evaluate the equilibrium effects of changes to the pricing rule of public colleges. In this project, we show how to use a structural model for supply and demand that incorporates heterogeneous degree quality for such a purpose. We aim to estimate and use the proposed model to discuss counterfactual policies and optimal design, calculating their effects on profits, consumer surplus, and welfare. (AU) | |
