Abstract

No one has ever taught us about galaxies in school, nor the importance of relativity theory in the operation of GPSs or satellites, nor how memories are formed, nor how blood can reach the head of giraffes! Science has always been kept untouched, as knowledge hidden within the walls of universities, seemingly distant from ordinary people and society. Disseminating the science and knowledge produced by universities is becoming increasingly important, especially to show society that there is a return on the resources invested in this area through the payment of taxes. Talking about science authentically does not imply using incomprehensible slang or illegible equations, nor does it make use of simplistic, uncertain and approximate speech. The popularization of science would then function as a practical reformulation or a translation of the scientific discourse into a second discourse, as an operation of "translation" by everyday terms. The objective of this project is to propose an approach for scientific dissemination to FEIS / UNESP research groups to students, who would be protagonists in the "translation" of the concepts and lines of research in journalistic matters to be disseminated in the municipality's press vehicle from Ilha Solteira, allowing connected users, from navigation and exploration of this environment, to information and interaction in virtual communities and discussion forums on the area of S&T presented.
