Abstract

Glasses with magnetic properties are very new materials with a large possibility of applications. Despite the field of applications be close enough and new products be close to the market, the real understand of the structure and the origin of the phenomena are not clear. In this sense the motivation of this project is study the environment around the paramagnetic ions using techniques such as EXAFS, XANES, EPR and NMR looking for sum up efforts to elucidate and explain such effects.
