Abstract

This doctoral project analyzes comparatively the compositions of Casa 1 (SP), CasaMiga (AM) and CasAmor (SE). The aim is to investigate how these Shelters Home forge politics, produce different connections and support the creation of other forms of subjectivity for expelled LGBTQIA+ people. My general hypothesis is that the Shelters Home are daily composed through the intertwining of spaces, memories and politics. Therefore, I will investigate, first, what kind of politics are produced by these Shelters Homes and how these politics enable the involvement between places and their inhabitants. Secondly, I will pay attention to the ways in which people relate themselves to the spaces of the Shelters Homes and also to what is involved in the relations that multiply as their spaces are appropriated. And, thirdly, I will investigate - insofar as other ways of inhabiting the world are elaborated after the expulsion process - how senses, affections and relations are produced by LGBTQIA+ people from their triggered memories.
