Abstract

The project aim is the magnetostratigraphy dating and the study the magnetic properties of the sedimentary rocks from Ra Stua section (Sourthern Alps, northern Italy). It is of great interest to identify the magnetic minerals present in these rocks, to determine the magnetic directions, to identify the magnetozones, to establish a age model based on obtained magnetostratigraphic data and, finally, to compare this results with others correlated Brazilian basins belonging to the Barremian-Aptian times, such as Sergipe-Alagoas Basin.
