Abstract

This research project aims to understand the spatial logics and strategies that guide the performance of the Encalso Damha Group in the cities of São José do Rio Preto, São Carlos and Presidente Prudente, in the State of São Paulo. The cities selected for the study are characterized by the fact that they present sectors of their respective urban spaces that concentrate closed residential spaces implemented by the company Damha Urbanizadora, as well as plots of land belonging to this same company, thus revealing monopoly strategies over the space. urban. The analysis of these strategies will make it possible to understand the role and actions of the Encalso Damha Group in the process of producing the urban space of these cities, thus identifying the similarities and differences between them. Finally, this research aims to contribute to the thematic project "Socio-spatial fragmentation and Brazilian urbanization: scales, vectors, rhythms, forms and contents", belonging to the Research Line Production of Urban Space.
