Abstract This Scientific Initiation project deals with the study of transport mechanisms related to the hyperbolic invariant manifolds associated with the periodic orbits around the collinear equilibrium points of the Planar Circular Restricte Three-Body Problem (PCRTBP). Understanding the transport dynamics in this model is important to practical applications in Astrodynamics, particularly, in the design of low-energy space missions. This project proposes the study and numerical investigation of escape and capture solutions around the primaries of the PCRTBP using escape basins and Poincaré Maps. | |
