This Scientific Initiation project proposes the investigation and numerical computation of periodic solutions of the Planar Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem (PCRTBP) aiming to explore applications in the context of space missions in the Solar System.Until the 1980s, the preliminary design of space missions was fundamentally based on the application of solutions to the Kepler Problem, a mathematical model that describes the gravitational interaction between two bodies. Currently, the design of modern missions demands the use of alternative models, such as the Three-Body Problem. Employing these models, space agencies propose new mission profiles with more challenging objectives, while seeking to minimize fuel usage. Thus, understanding the solutions of the PCRTBP is of great interest in practical applications in Astrodynamics, particularly in low-energy space mission design.
