Abstract

The goal of this activity plan is to grow lactic acid bacteria (LAB), which produce bacteriocins and vitamins. It will be determined which lab has the greatest potential for producing these biomolecules for this purpose. Following that, isolated LAB will be cultured in a rotary shaker with the following parameters evaluated: temperature (including a thermodynamic study), pH, C:N ratio, and alternative nitrogen and carbon sources.
