Abstract

The activities developed by Scientific Initiation scholarship holder consist of: under the guidance of the professor, supporting and monitoring the field and laboratory activities of the research project. This graduation student training is important in the process of training future professors/researchers at universities and research institutions in Brazil. In the field activities, small plant species will be inventoried, following the collection, preparation and sending procedures for laboratory analysis, including the anatomical structure of the wood, growth rings and dating of small plants. The other objectives imply the reconstruction of growth and evaluation of climatic-ecological variables.
