Abstract

Within the study of quantum systems made up of many particles, the investigation of phenomena out of equilibrium corresponds today to one of the frontiers to be understood. When the condensates are excited by external agents, whether through temporal changes in the potential or through manipulation of the interactions, defects are generated (solitons, vortices, etc.) that end up generating the system out of equilibrium. Our laboratory in São Carlos has been working on quantum turbulence as an out-of-equilibrium system, and during this IC project, I have been studying phenomena related to this. There is a way to generate disorder and turbulence, not yet investigated in depth, that corresponds to the granulation of the condensate and its temporal evolution in terms of transfer of energy and momentum between the various scales. In this work, we intend to return to study this topic of granulation as a new way to reach non-equilibrium and to investigate phenomena, now related to this topic. This Internship will contribute fundamentally to the evolution of the student´s work in the present and next phase as a graduate student. Besides acquiring an international experiences, it is spected a great scientific output form this program. (AU)
