Abstract

This is a proposal for a research internship abroad to be developed with the Faculty of Geography and History of the Universitat de Barcelona, under the supervision of the Professor. Dra. Montserrat Salvà Catarineu. From this proposal, we aim to expand and deepen Geoprocessing and Remote Sensing techniques in order to analyze the processes of transformation of the agrarian space of São Paulo and what configurations were produced, taking as a temporal cut, the period between the Censuses Agricultural of 1995/1996, 2006 and 2017. With the development of the internship, we expect the elaboration of cartographic products, mainly maps of land cover and use that will help us to analyze the agrarian space of São Paulo in the proposed period. In this way, the results of this internship will help to support the doctoral research of the beneficiary developed in the Postgraduate Program in Human Geography at the Universidade de São Paulo and entitled: "The organization of the agrarian space of São Paulo: a proposition of regional analysis based on the mapping from the Censuses Agricultural of 1995/1996, 2006 and 2017" (Process: 2020/04901-6), helping to understand the changes that occurred in the agrarian space of São Paulo, taking into account the deepening and support of the proposed analysis and which has already been carried out from the mapping of data from the Censuses Agricultural listed for research.
