Abstract

For the development of smart industries, a highly reliable, low-latency communication network is required to handle a large volume of data in real time. One of the main technologies used in industrial networks, TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking), an extension of standard Ethernet, allows data transmission in a deterministic way, ensuring that information is transmitted with high performance. Its integration with other technologies, such as 5G for example, allows a number of advantages such as greater reliability, performance guarantees, low delay, flexibility, cost reduction, among others. The objective of this project then is to promote the advancement of the development of TSN integration with such technologies through the review of the state of the art, mapping of network resources and quality of service (QoS) classes, programmable data plan design and validation of the integration through simulated tests.
