Abstract

Introduction: Lower limb amputation has a high worldwide incidence and occurs due to different etiologies. Prosthetic satisfaction is important, as it interferes with the patient's adherence to the rehabilitation process, helps to optimize the use of the prosthesis and reduces rejection. While the use of the prosthesis helps to compensate for functional losses, it contributes to mobility and autonomy. However, many of the patients do not use the prescribed prostheses, generating a waste of the investment made in the SUS. Objectives: Evaluate the satisfaction and functional use of the prosthesis and correlate the individual and functional causes of the prosthetic device that lead to the non-use of the prosthesis in a reference service of the SUS; to develop a standardized evaluation form after fitting for the physiotherapy service for rehabilitation in amputations; to trace the sociodemographic profile of patients with lower limb amputation treated at a reference service in prosthesis prescription and dispensing. Methods: The sample will consist of 100 volunteers of both sexes, over 18 years old and with a clinical diagnosis of lower limb amputation at any level. Volunteers must have received the lower limb prosthesis for at least 6 months. Validated self-report questionnaires will be applied: SAT-PRO-Br, Hougton-Br Scale, FMA-Br and the sociodemographic evaluation form with the classification of functionality. The correlation of instruments will be analyzed using Spearman's correlation coefficient with a significance level of p < 0.05, using SPSS software version 20.0®.
