Abstract

In the current context of Dentistry, several restorative materials, such as resins made using CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing) digital technology, are introduced in the market in order to promote diversity of applicability and choice options for professionals. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand its properties with a view to a safe clinical practice. This study aims to compare the microhardness and flexural strength of three composite resins processed using direct fabrication (Gradia Direct X resin), milling (Cerasmart resin), or three-dimensional printing (VarseoSmile Crown Plus resin) techniques. Ninety samples will be prepared for analyzes of surface microhardness properties in a microdurometer and flexural strength by the three-point resistance test, in addition to calculating the modulus of elasticity. Analyzes will be carried out before and after fatigue wear of 1,200,000 cycles, under a load of 50 N and a sliding movement of 0.7 mm. The numerical values obtained will be submitted to a test to verify if they adhere to a normal curve. In the case of normal distribution, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) will be applied for the resin and aging factors, followed by the Post-Hoc statistical tests, with a 5%-significance level. Non-parametric tests will be performed in case of non-normal distribution.
