Abstract Much of the Brazilian sewage is disposed of without proper treatment, mainly through pits in the ground. This activity can contaminate groundwater that is later used, causing severe health problems. These health problems usually affect children more, with diarrhea being the most common case in hospitalizations. Therefore, the main objective of this work is to carry out a closer and more realistic diagnosis of the presence and contamination of semi-artesian wells in urban and rural areas of the city of Ilha Solteira - SP by total coliforms and Escherichia coli. (E. coli). In the event of contamination, the results are expected to alert and support initiatives to improve regional sanitation. During the development of the project, a photocatalytic filter capable of purifying water contaminated with pathogens harmful to human health will also be created. In the development of this filter, the blow spinning technique will be used. | |
