Abstract

This study aims to continue the reflection on the transatlantic trajectory of Verena Stolcke, which until this moment of the research was focused on her period in Brazil, due to the content of the documents found in the Edgard Leuenroth Archive. However, the archival material does not include the other periods of her career, beyond the stage in Brazil, especially the period in which she returned to Barcelona with her daughters to teach at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and where she remained since then. My master's research in Spain will focus on Stolcke's period in Spain, where she researched, taught and still lives in Barcelona. As part of the investigation, I will be able to meet her personally and ask her about this period of her career. This study will also include interviews with people who had a relationship with the anthropologist, who can contribute about her career and help in the research. In addition, I will be able to be part of the AHCISP research group (Anthropology and history of the construction of social and political identities) as a visiting researcher. Furthermore, as part of the activities, I will be able to attend a subject of the Master's in Social Anthropology as a visiting student. The results of this stay will be added to the work carried out in Brazil and it is expected to achieve contributions for reflection on the trajectory of Verena Stolcke in the history of anthropology, as well as a new perspective for the subject on the circulation of people and knowledge.
