Abstract

The project aims to help developing the main research project through the collection and analysis of bibliographic material, as well as meetings with teachers and researchers and conducting interviews. The proposed activities prove to be necessary for deepening the research axis that intends to analyze how African narratives present, record and incorporate reflections related to the effects of capitalist expansion directly linked to global crises - environmental and human, these being, intimately connected. The corpus of the project covers works by four writers: João Paulo Borges Coelho, Ondjaki, Nuruddin Farah, J.M. Coetzze. In this way, it will be possible to rethink the role of African literature in the global space and reverse the way in which its relationship with the place of origin is understood, pointing to other declensions of African literary texts that can be taken as ways of commenting on the world from the perspective of of Africa as a point of reference and enunciation.
