Abstract

Cancer is a highly prevalent disease with rising incidence rates not whole world. Deaths and llness from cancer devastate families and prevent the patient from having a normal life after the discovery. Treatment by conventional therapies was important, but Due to different types of cancer and aggressive adverse effects, therapies are alternatives to solve the problems, being as efficient as, or more. Dynamic therapies are widespread and already used in oncology, such as photodynamic therapy (PDT). Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) presents itself as another alternative In this spectrum, it has many advantages over PDT, but its development is only at the beginning and better reasoning is needed. Aiming at characterizing the profile of histological and anatomical damage from the action of ultrasound with and without sensitizer, as well as as by varying other parameters, it is possible to determine operating procedures for the energy delivery and its relationship to the target. For this, animal models will be used to treatment of TSD and the characterization will take place in liver tissue. Once understood like the waves sounds interact with the tissue (spatial distribution) and the damage caused, it is possible for target studies are neoplastic cells with the objective of developing TSD until its application clinic.
