Abstract

Erosion is a natural process of relief modeling by disaggregation, transport and deposition of soil particles by water, wind, among others. However, inadequate land use causes successive imbalances in the natural environment, intensifying this process. From these dynamics, technogenic deposits are formed. The research will be carried out in a rural property located in the Environmental Protection Area - APA do Timburi, municipality of Presidente Prudente/SP, whose human interference in the environment altered the morphology and morphology of the relief, with emphasis on water courses and alluvial plains, caused by intensive land use, suppression of vegetation and inadequate soil management. The research will allow a deeper analysis of the environmental characteristics of the area, detailing aspects of the processes related to the physiology of the landscape. Methodologically, samples of technogenic materials will be collected; physical analysis (granulometry and fractionation) of the collected materials; use of aerial images from different periods to help both in the delimitation of transects and in the verification of natural and social elements of the landscape; elaboration of thematic maps, such as land use and occupation; elaboration of topographic profiles; block diagrams illustrating the evolution of landscapes and the composition of current and past surface and subsurface materials. This information will be related to the history of use and occupation of the research area, in order to explain how such processes affected the landscape, resulting in the formation of technogenic deposits.
