Abstract

Microbiota-host-gut interactions occur at many levels and involve complex signaling pathways, in addition, a range of microorganism-derived biomolecules that can have effects in distant tissues. These changes are the basis for increased risk of disease and reduced life expectancy in dogs, cats and humans. With the advent of metabolomics assessments, several metabolites that are produced by the intestinal microbiota have gained prominence and the multiple parallels through which the intestinal microbiota interferes in the development of obesity, in changes in the set of metabolites produced and/or modified by an organism is not fully understood. , in addition there is a lack of information that connects such results.
