Abstract

Optimal designs play an important role in areas that evolve through experimentation, especially when conditions do not allow the use of classical rules for building an efficient design. When the model for analyzing the results is non-linear, the difficulties are more significant. The theory of optimal designs is useful to guide planning, however, due to non-linearity, the process is more complex and specific for each model. In this project, the problem will be studied and algorithms will be computationally implemented to build optimal designs for nonlinear models. Several approximations are needed in the process. The study is expected to point out the alternatives with greater efficiency, both from the computational point of view and the quality of the constructed designs.
