Abstract

Gestational loss is the most frequent complication of a pregnancy, and may occur from several factors. Considering that, for the most part, it is one of the most complex mournings that impact the occupations and daily life of mothers who have experienced loss, it is necessary that it be studied in order to promote humanized and adequate care. Based on the premise that support groups favor welcoming and provide a better quality of life, the present study aims to understand the participation of these women in groups to support gestational loss, as a tool that assists in the process of mourning elaboration. This is a qualitative research, which will be collected with members of a support group, using two instruments, being a semi-structured interview and a timeline. The data will be presented and analyzed descriptively and in the modality of thematic analysis. It is expected to contribute in the field of occupational therapy, as well as in the development of more qualified professional actions and practices in this context.
