Abstract

Introduction: Palliative rehabilitation is a concept that has been expanding worldwide, considering its potency in promoting the individual's care and engagement in a life as full, comfortable and productive as possible. However, there need to be more studies that provide for approaches and interventions in this context. Objective: Analyze the Quality of Health-Related Life, and functionality, identify the demands for palliative rehabilitation and synthesize the scientific literature about interventions used in this approach.Proposed method: Quantitative, exploratory, cross-sectional, descriptive study and integrative review. Inclusion criteria will be the person with cancer diagnosis undergoing treatment palliative care, accompanied by the Clinical Oncology Team in hospitalization or outpatient consultationat Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto (HCFMRP), aged 18 or over more and present preserved cognitive and communication abilities. A sociodemographic questionnaire will be used to characterize the sample. A Palliative Care Outcome Scale - Brazil (POS-Br) and the Karnofsky Performance Scale (KPS) will be used to verify the quality of life and functional capacity. Both will be analyzed through descriptive statistical analysis. Furthermore, an integrative review will be carried out using the GRADE method.Expected results: It is expected that through the integrative review in line with the statistical analysis, it is possible to elucidate which interventions and approaches can be used in palliative rehabilitation based on the functional demands of cancer patients monitored at the HCFMRP.
