Abstract In quantum magnets, competing exchange interactions and geometric frustration can lead to unconventional magnetic states, as non-coplanar spin structures, or even disordered states, as spin liquids. The search for quantum spin liquids represents the challenge of understanding the novel phases beyond the standard Landau theory of phase transitions rooted in the concept of spontaneous symmetry breaking, as these states show no long-range magnetic order. They are examples of the rapidly evolving field of topological condensed matter physics, displaying the hallmarks of topological order and fractionalized excitations. In this work, we would like to investigate putative spin-liquid candidates combining the parton construction with Matrix Product States (MPS), a very flexible tool deeply rooted in the concept of entanglement entropy. | |
