Abstract

Supraparticles (SPs) are finite, spherical assemblages of many primary particles typically in the micrometer range. Currently, the development of new supraparticles is increasing; however, there are still few studies for application in agriculture. The advantage of SPs over the original nanoparticles is that it becomes possible to combine functionalities of different nanomaterials in a single system due to the synergism, coupling, and colocalization of nanoparticles in the supraparticle structure. Thus, this project seeks to merge herbicide nanocarriers with magnetic nanoparticles in order to build hybrid supraparticles for application in agriculture. In addition, the association of nanoparticles in supraparticles and their disintegration capacity and release kinetics in aqueous media will be studied. This innovative project aims to open up new possibilities for hybrid release carriers for agriculture. (AU)
