Abstract

This research seeks to understand Brazil's secondary education implementation by analyzing the changes made by the state governments of São Paulo, Ceará, and Pernambuco related to teaching career and continuing professional education. The analysis is qualitative and based on data collected through documents, such as legislation, regulation, government reports, and the plans for the implementation of the secondary education reform in the selected states, and semi-structured interviews with managers from state education departments and schools and teachers. The research results will be systematized in reports and publications.
