Abstract

The main idea of the present project is developing a method of remote functionalization via monotransposition of terminal olefins, catalyzed by nickel. This project is going to be a continuation of the initial work, which involves the terminal alkene isomerization, under kinetic control, exploring the reactivity not only of the product formed during the process, but also the À-allyl nickel, that is one of the possible intermediates formed in the reactional pathway. In a way to get this goal, a lot of molecules that were described on the literature, which have potential for double bond functionalization are going to exposed for the reactional conditions of the isomerization in the presence of terminal olefins. Then, according to the obtained results, it is going to possibly know what are the best reactional conditions for the reaction and what are the structural characteristics that a molecule must have to be a good substituent in the olefin functionalization.
