Abstract

Pursuit for methodologies capable of construct molecular complexity in a fast, simple and sustainable ways has been a priority for synthetic chemists in recent years. Still, discovery of new compounds that have biological activity as well as other applications are of great interest to both academia and industry.It's well-known that molecules containing sulfonyl moieties show many applications in agrochemical, materials and pharmaceutic industries. Considering these, the development of methodologies to obtain this class of compounds in an efficient manner is highly desirable.The use of multicomponent reactions has been widely explored in this regard, considering its operational simplicity and fewer waste generation compared to linear synthesis. Metalophotoredox systems has been drawing more and more attention among this class of reactions, once they're able to quickly construct C-C and C-X bonds under mild conditions.In that context, inspired by the good results shown by dual-catalysed multicomponent reactions for multiple C-C bonds functionalization in recent years, beyond the wide application presented by sulfonylated compounds, this project targets the development of a new Ni/photoredox dual-catalyzed strategy aiming the arylsulfonilation of enol ethers and enamines.
