Abstract

This project proposes the study of methods for generating three-dimensional images using a specific class of volumetric displays known as swept-volume displays(swept-volume), based of LED arrays. It also aims to develop algorithms that can be used not only for generation but also for spatial control of the images using binary commands, such as resizing, clockwise/counterclockwise rotation, among others. The motivations for this project include: (i) training human resources in volumetric displays; (ii) developing code for image control in 3D LED displays to be built by the research group; (iii) future integration of the mentioned display with an non-invasive brain-computer interface based on electroencephalography signals, which will use the motor imagery paradigm to generate binary commands for the display; these commands will then be used as input data to the algorithm to be developed here.
