Abstract

This project is part of a continuous research developed since 2014 which follows up on investigations into the creation of artistic-pedagogical procedures based on the use of cinematographic works. Initially, during the Performing Arts graduation course, we investigated in a Scientific Initiation research (supported by FAPESP) the concept of violence in the works of Quentin Tarantino. Later, in the Master, we explored the concepts of self-defense and the form of the mixtape in the documentary works of the Swedish director Goran Olsson. In the Doctorate research, we focus on the themes of fake and fakery through the movie F for Fake (1973) by Orson Welles. The method is the same as developed in the previous stages of our research, expanding the scope of analyses and references and deepening the intersection between scenic and cinematographic languages and their pedagogical potential. Moreover, the research intends to collaborate with the theoretical and aesthetic fields about fake and fakery by elaborating a pedagogical dossier, as we did in our Master's, being this one of the research's pedagogical north. For this, continuing the scenic research started in 2021, we will test the propositions elaborated in different contexts of artistic experimentation, preparing the dossier by analyzing its results. The pedagogical dossier will aim at sharing processes and outcomes on multiple artistic languages and stimulating debates on current issues involving the concepts of fake, fakery, authenticity, and collectivities.
