Abstract

This proposal aims to primarily understand and collaborate in the development of an antibullying intervention in Italy, followed by its cross-cultural adaptation and validation for use in Brazil. The outlined specific objectives seek to attain a comprehensive understanding of the intervention, acquire the necessary principles for its implementation in Brazil, collaborate with international researchers, document the process and participants' involvement, establish a theoretical foundation for addressing bullying, partake in training and meetings, contribute to publications, and solidify partnerships. The proposed method encounters distinct challenges. The first challenge lies in transferring the principles of the Italian intervention to the Brazilian context. To overcome this, a mapping review will be conducted, following the planning, execution, and report stages. This review aims to compare efficacy evidence and cultural nuances. The second challenge pertains to monitoring the interventions in Italian schools. Field diaries will be employed to capture details that recordings cannot, maintaining the objectivity and authenticity of observations. This material will undergo qualitative analysis techniques and provide insights for the future adaptation and validation of the intervention for Brazilian schools. The third challenge involves synthesizing and integrating data from various sources and contexts to construct a robust theoretical foundation. The analytical principles of Grounded Theory will guide this process. It is noteworthy that the host group possesses extensive experience in antibullying interventions. The postdoctoral stage will significantly impact the proposing researcher's career and shape their profile as a leader in research with international collaborators.
