Intracanal medications must have adequate physicochemical properties and antimicrobial activity. The Laboratory of Vitreous Materials (LaMaV - UFSCar) developed a bioglass, called F18 (BVF18), with high bioactivity, and the copper ion doped bioglass (BVC) aiming at greater antimicrobial effectiveness. These bioactive materials can be used for association with calcium hydroxide (HC). The objective of this study will be to develop and evaluate experimental intracanal medications based on Bioglass, as well as the association with calcium hydroxide in different proportions, radiopacifier and vehicles: experimental paste (HCEXP) composed of HC, radiopacifier Zirconium Oxide (ZrO) and vehicle polyethylene glycol (PL) compared to its association with BVF18 at 10 and 20% concentrations, and with BVC at 10 and 20% concentrations. Polyethylene tubes will be filled with medications and immersed in distilled water for pH evaluation after 1, 3, 7 and 14 days and solubility after 7 and 14 days. The antimicrobial activity will be evaluated using the modified direct contact test (TCDM) through the decontamination of bovine dentin discs by counting the colony forming unit (CFU). The data will be submitted to the normality test and statistical tests will be applied, with a significance level of 5%.
