Abstract

The present research project aims to implement a methodology for prediction and inverse calculation of the dynamic damping properties of structural plate elements through experimentally obtained data, numerical simulation of the structures, and its use together with optimization algorithms and modal, temporal, and frequency correlation metrics. The algorithms will be implemented in Python language using pre-implemented modules from the SciPy library for time integration and frequency analysis, based on the extraction of mass and stiffness matrices through analyzes in the research group's own codes via the Finite Element Method applied to torsional Euler-Bernoulli beams and two-dimensional simulations to be carried out in the commercial finite element software ANSYS. Results obtained by the proposed methodology will be validated based on data obtained in the literature and from the experiments themselves.
