Abstract

Imaginaries on the table: audio/visual history isa research project for ICON - Utrecht Universitywhich aims at supporting ongoing postdoctoralresearch at the School of Architecture andUrbanism of the University of São Paulo, Brazil.Based on the appearance of tables in bothfemale artistic creations and feminist theories,the proposal contemplates contemporaryspatialities. Particularly, as part of the ResearchInternship project, I propose to further mythoughts about the design of bodies andterritorial borders in critical senses. It will besupervised by professor Jamila Mascat, whoseexpertise in studies involving critical theory,gender studies, and post-colonial perspectivesmust be emphasized. The objective of theResearch Internship at Utrecht University is toenhance the research that I have been engagedin, for more than a decade, which emphasizesthe intersections between art, architecture,design, and the social sciences.
