Abstract The general objective of this research is to examine the possible implications in the concepts of justice and democracy, central to the activities of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), when its daily practices begin to depend on artificial intelligence tools for the handling of processes and jurisprudence. To this end, I suggest an ethnographic investment on two main fronts, related to each other: 1. In innovation initiatives aimed at implementing AI tools in the Superior Court of Justice, with special attention to applications in the management of robust judgment databases, elementary raw material for the creation of jurisprudence; 2. In the innovation and regulatory efforts promoted by the legislative branch and institutions such as the National Council of Justice (CNJ) - which very directly affect the routines and procedures adopted by the STJ - particularly those referring to the potential and risks of AI in modes to see and to do jurisprudence. | |
