Abstract

In this project we intend to perform studies on the paradigm of neuromorphic computing based on an extensive literature review and simulations. In addition, promissory materials will be characterized, BFO, VO and LPCMO. To achieve this objective, measurements of magnetization will be analyzed as a function of temperature, as a function of the applied field and measurements of variation in magnetic properties caused by light in the SQUID (Super Quantum Interference Device) available at the Laboratório de Materiais e Baixas Temperaturas, IFGW and measurements electron paramagnetic resonance at various temperatures (RPE), available at the Laboratório de Metais e Ligas , IFGW. This study will serve to introduce the process of material characterization, and combined with simulations, to understand which properties are useful for neuromorphic circuits. The candidate has already been carrying out instrumentation work at the RPE with the help of IFGW collaborating professor Dr. Flávio César Guimarães Gandra
