Abstract

A high-potential strategy to enable pathogen treatments in aquaculture is the development of nanomaterial carriers for drug delivery. In this study it will bea nanoparticle with mucoadhesive and pH-responsive properties is produced by the conjugation between the biopolymers chitosan and alginate, which originate a colloidal polyelectrolyte complexas a result of electrostatic interaction due to their opposite charges in solution. The nanoparticle will be developed to encapsulate the anthelmintic drug levadasisol andIts effectiveness in parasite treatment will be studied, as well as possible toxicity will be evaluated.
