Abstract

Since the study's launch in January 2020, the team has employed various communication strategies to enhance the research's visibility. The most successful approach has involved disseminating information through high-impact media outlets, including press coverage (TV programs and newspapers), podcasts, and the social media pages of influencers. In 2023, the NutriNet research team published the first scientific article associating dietary patterns with a health outcome, a topic of significant public interest. This research proposal advocates for the scientific disclosure of NutriNet through an expanded approach, providing insights into the significance of a prospective cohort study, the rationale behind conducting a large-scale study in Brazil, the scientific hypotheses guiding NutriNet, and, ultimately, the initial results addressing the study's objectives. The execution of this project will be strategic both in informing society about the latest scientific evidence regarding the relationship between the consumption of ultraprocessed foods and the incidence of chronic diseases, and in driving therecruitment of new participants while motivating existing NutriNet contributors to remain engaged in the study.
