Abstract

Hepatocelullar Carcinoma (HCC) is the most common liver primary tumor and its incidency and prevalence are constantly increasing in Brazil. Liver transplantion is one of the best therapeutic options, for those who fit the Milan-Brazil Criteria. Brazil is one of the countries that performs the most liver transplantation in the world, but the number of donors are way lower thanthe number of patients on the waitlist. Considering how fast HCC developes and the time that these patients remain on the list, most times exceeding six months, many patients get worse and loose the transplantion criteria, what it is called dropout. Nowdays patients can be admitted under locorregional treatment before the transplantion, lowering the chances of dropout. The objective of this work is to evaluate the response assessment of underlocal regional treatments and its relation with dropouts and other outcomes, such as prognosis after the transplantion and recurrance rates. Medical records of patients with the HCC diagnosis, that met the criteria for liver transplantation between 2009 and 2019, on Clinic Hospital of São PauloUniversity, will be analyzed for this project.
