Abstract

Tenuipalpidae is an important family of phytophagous mites and includes several species of economic importance for agriculture worldwide. The inventory of mite fauna in natural environments has indicated that there is a large number of unknown species to science within this family in the national territory. Therefore, the present project proposes to describe new species of Tenuipalpidae collected in natural environments of Brazil, already deposited in acarological collections, aiming at human resource development in the mite taxonomy field.
