Abstract

The management of the airway in children is responsible for significant morbidity and mortality. Few information is available on best practices related to difficult airway management in children. This is due to the infrequent occurrence of Pediatric Difficult Direct Laryngoscopy (DDL). This multicenter study will serve to document intubation methods, techniques, and adverse events related to intubation and the professional team during the anesthetic management of children with DDL. This registry will also provide comparative assessment data to participating centers, allowing them to compare airway management practices among themselves. Additionally, the present study will continuously analyze and apply to practice themes such as the evolution of techniques and equipment used. The project will be available to members of the PeDI Registry cooperative group.
