Abstract

The modeling of porous media flow has various applications in the industrial context. Particularly to adsorption processes, the understanding of the flow and the energy transfer within porous media becomes essential. Given the Lattice Boltzmann method flexibility in terms of the computational discretization, in this project, a Lattice Boltzmann simulation code will be developed aiming at understanding the mechanisms of thermal transfer in porous media flow at the mesoscale.
