Abstract

Introduction: Common mental disorders (CMD) are characterized by complaints of anxiety, depression, insomnia, among others. CMDs are common in primary care and are associated with losses in physical and psychological health and public spending. Biopsychosocial factors may contribute to the development and severity of CMD. Knowing the factors associated with the severity of CMD in a Brazilian sample allows the development and contextualized planning of preventive and interventional measures aimed at CMD in the country. Objective: The objectives of this study are: 1) To evaluate the prevalence of CMD (depression, anxiety, insomnia) in two basic health units (UBS) in Indaiatuba; and 2) Evaluate the factors associated with the presence/severity of CMD (depression, anxiety, insomnia) in a Brazilian sample. Method: Adults aged between 18-65 years old and users of two UBS in the city of Indaiatuba will be evaluated and will complete the instruments Patient Health Questionnaire 9 (PHQ-9), General Anxiety Disorder 7 (GAD-7), Severity Index of Insomnia (IGI) and sociodemographic information. Sociodemographic variables (gender, age, marital status, education, income, occupation) will be evaluated as potential predictors and factors associated with the presence/severity of CMD. Simple and multivariate analyzes will be performed using logistic regression and linear regression.
