Abstract

Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) constitute illnesses with multiple causes and risk factors, characterized by a prolonged course, functional impairment, and diminished quality of life in individuals. In this context, there is evidence that systemic inflammatory markers, such as IL-6 and TNF-alpha, are associated with this low-grade and chronic inflammatory state, also known as "inflammaging" - a predictor of immunologically accelerated aging. In this scenario, there is a quest to better understand the immunobiological mechanisms of NCDs, evaluating a possible correlation between clinical and laboratory predictor variables and relevant clinical outcomes. For this purpose, a prospective cohort study is proposed, utilizing data from participants of the internal medicine outpatient clinic of the Academic League of Internal Medicine (ELLAMI), at the Federal University of São Paulo/Paulista School of Medicine, for statistical analysis, integrating demographic, clinical, and molecular information that will be collected.
