Abstract

This Scientific Initiation research is part of a broader project, named as "Equity and sustainability in the articulation between curricula, pedagogical practices and teacher training in São Paulo public schools". This is funding by FAPESP's PROEDUCA Program. Therefore, the aim of this study is to qualitatively analyze, by the principles of Textual Discourse Analysis (TDA), a sample of teaching resources. These materials directly or indirectly address environmental issues. Moreover, they have been used recently by São Paulo Public Schools.In this analysis, we are going to assess whether these materials address the environment issue in a way that is articulated with the principles of Critical Environmental Education, Equity, Interculturality and Socio-environmental Justice. Thus, this project will have five main stages. The first is a bibliographical review of papers in the literature that present these principles applied to a teaching context. These scientific works will be used to improve the analytical structure created during a CNPQ (acronym for National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, in Portuguese) project. This last is already completed by the scholarship candidate. Then, in the third stage, this spreadsheet will be used to analyze the teaching resources mentioned above. Furthermore, this matrix can be a reference for the construction of new educational materials for Public Schools. In the fourth stage, this matrix will be validated by teachers from the Education Municipal Network of São Paulo. Finally, this project proposes, based on a focus group, the development of an educational resource. It is expected that this material plays with the articulation of Sustainability, Socio-environmental Justice and Equity.
