Abstract

The aspect that differentiate a quantum system and a classical system allow us to thinkof many applications in information theory. The quantum information and quantum communication study how to use quantum systems to implement information processes. Theydo not substitute the actual technology, but open new possibilities how to manipulate information. Many of this protocols are based on preparation and measurement in mutuallyunbiased bases (MUB). In this work we will study the characteristic of the MUB and findinteresting implementation possibilities in photonic chips, spatially for d-level quantumsystems.
