Abstract

Silicon Photonics is an important platform for integrating optical functions on achip. However, silicon is very limited regarding active and non-linear optical processing in gen-eral. We can then use different materials, such as mono-layers MoTe2 1T' in the same platformas a way of surpassing these difficulties. In this work, we propose to investigate the use of MoTe21T' as a saturable absorber integrated to silicon photonic structures.
