Abstract

In this project, the morphological and optical properties of ZnO thin films grown by sputtering will be investigated. During the project, the student must acquire knowledge about semiconductor oxides, the sputtering growth technique, the characterization of thin films using atomic force microscopy images and reflectivity measurements. ZnO films will be produced using ZnO targets in order to optimize growth and determine the best morphological and optical properties. Once the production of these films has been optimized, these conditions will be used for the growth of ZnO films doped with magnetic ions.
